Going Platinum: Multilevel Marketing (MLM) Program Review 

Pros and Cons -   This MLM company described itself as a Shopping Mall, Full Service lSP, Virtual Office, Search Engine Directory all combined into one internet gateway to fulfill all of your needs. The company started in Lancaster Pa. in August of 2000 and required an initial $25 membership fee to enroll. With the launch date delay in December of 2000,it was obvious that the company was experiencing difficulty. After December passed and the complaints from its membership increased,the determination was made that no Internet Mall was going to be implemented. With no revenue source other than membership fees,and members enrolling other members,based upon those fees going platinum, amounted to new paying members enrolling other new paying members. What is the concept behind ""Going Platinum?"" People who enroll 39 other people are promised 40% of the profits those 39 people paid in memberships. Further review of the terms and agreement of the ""membership fee"" that a monthly fee would be subtracted from the member's estimated payout. This would amount to $6125 per month. Several complaints were filed with the Security and Exchange Commissions regarding this obvious scam. Promises were made by the defendent that were considered misleading and outright false, pertaining to technical status of the websites and financial backing.

Recommended?   No due to broken promises and being reported to federal authorities.
